How to Set Up IPTV on Windows PC

Watch IPTV on your Windows computer using VLC Media Player or Kodi with the PVR IPTV Simple Client.

Introduction

Watching IPTV on Windows is easy and completely free. There are two main methods: using VLC (quick and simple) or Kodi (more feature-rich with EPG support). This guide covers both.

What You Need

  • Windows PC or laptop
  • Your StreamProTV M3U URL (from your welcome email)
  • Internet connection (10 Mbps+ for HD)

Method 1 – VLC Media Player (Easiest)

VLC is free, open-source, and can play any IPTV stream directly from an M3U URL.

Step 1: Download and Install VLC

  1. Go to videolan.org/vlc and download VLC for Windows
  2. Run the installer and follow the prompts

Step 2: Open Your M3U Playlist

  1. Open VLC
  2. Click Media in the top menu → Open Network Stream (or press Ctrl+N)
  3. Paste your M3U URL from your welcome email
  4. Click Play

VLC will load your channels as a playlist on the left side.

Step 3: Navigate Channels

  • The playlist will appear on the left panel
  • Double-click any channel to watch it
  • Right-click for additional options

Tip: For a better channel list view, go to ViewPlaylist to see all channels organised in your sidebar.

Method 2 – Kodi with PVR IPTV Simple Client

Kodi gives you a full TV-style interface with EPG (programme guide), catch-up, and more.

Step 1: Install Kodi

  1. Go to kodi.tv and download Kodi 20 (Nexus) or newer

  5. Kodi will ask you to restart — click OK

Step 3: Watch TV

  1. After restart, go to the TV section in Kodi's main menu
  2. Select Channels to browse your full channel list
  3. Go to Guide to see the EPG

Note: Kodi's EPG can take a few minutes to fully load the first time. Let it run for 5 minutes before checking.
