Introduction
Watching IPTV on Windows is easy and completely free. There are two main methods: using VLC (quick and simple) or Kodi (more feature-rich with EPG support). This guide covers both.
What You Need
- Windows PC or laptop
- Your StreamProTV M3U URL (from your welcome email)
- Internet connection (10 Mbps+ for HD)
Method 1 – VLC Media Player (Easiest)
VLC is free, open-source, and can play any IPTV stream directly from an M3U URL.
Step 1: Download and Install VLC
- Go to
videolan.org/vlcand download VLC for Windows - Run the installer and follow the prompts
Step 2: Open Your M3U Playlist
- Open VLC
- Click Media in the top menu → Open Network Stream (or press Ctrl+N)
- Paste your M3U URL from your welcome email
- Click Play
VLC will load your channels as a playlist on the left side.
Step 3: Navigate Channels
- The playlist will appear on the left panel
- Double-click any channel to watch it
- Right-click for additional options
Tip: For a better channel list view, go to View → Playlist to see all channels organised in your sidebar.
Method 2 – Kodi with PVR IPTV Simple Client
Kodi gives you a full TV-style interface with EPG (programme guide), catch-up, and more.
Step 1: Install Kodi
- Go to
kodi.tvand download Kodi 20 (Nexus) or newer - Install and open Kodi
Step 2: Enable PVR IPTV Simple Client
- In Kodi, go to Add-ons → My Add-ons → PVR Clients
- Click PVR IPTV Simple Client → Configure
- Under General, set M3U playlist URL to your StreamProTV M3U URL
- Click OK and then Enable
- Kodi will ask you to restart — click OK
Step 3: Watch TV
- After restart, go to the TV section in Kodi's main menu
- Select Channels to browse your full channel list
- Go to Guide to see the EPG
Note: Kodi's EPG can take a few minutes to fully load the first time. Let it run for 5 minutes before checking.
Method 3 – IPTV Smarters for Windows
- Download IPTV Smarters Pro for Windows from the official website
- Install and open it
- Select Add User → Xtream Codes API
- Enter your server URL, username, and password
- Click Add User
