Introduction
MAG boxes (made by Infomir) are dedicated IPTV set-top boxes that connect directly to your TV via HDMI. They use a portal-based system that is different from app-based IPTV players. This guide covers setup for MAG 250, 254, 256, 322, 410, 420, and 520 models.
What You Need
- MAG box with HDMI cable connected to your TV
- Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi connection
- Your MAG box's MAC address (on the sticker underneath the box)
- Your StreamProTV portal URL (provided in your welcome email)
Find Your MAG MAC Address
The MAC address is printed on a sticker on the bottom of the MAG box. It looks like: 00:1A:79:XX:XX:XX
You can also find it in the MAG box interface:
- Press the Setup button on your remote
- Go to System Information
- The MAC address is shown on this screen
Method 1 – Portal Setup (Recommended)
Step 1: Contact StreamProTV Support
Before you begin, email or message our support team with your MAG MAC address. We will register it on our portal system and provide you with the portal URL.
Step 2: Enter the Portal URL
- Turn on your MAG box — it will load the default Infomir portal
- Press Setup on your MAG remote
- Navigate to System Settings → Servers → Portals
- In the Portal 1 URL field, enter the portal URL we provided
- You can name it Portal 1 Name: StreamProTV
- Press OK to save
Step 3: Restart Your MAG Box
- Go back to the main settings menu
- Select Reboot System or simply unplug the power lead
- Wait for the box to restart — it will connect to our portal
- Your channels will load automatically
Note: If the portal shows "Portal is unavailable", double-check the URL and make sure your MAC address has been registered with us. Contact support if the issue persists.
Method 2 – M3U Playlist via USB
For MAG 4xx and 5xx series boxes that support M3U playback:
Step 1: Prepare the USB Drive
- On your computer, create a file called
playlist.m3u - Open it in Notepad and paste your M3U URL content (available from your account)
- Save the file to a USB drive
Step 2: Play on MAG Box
- Insert the USB drive into the MAG box
- Navigate to Media Browser in the menu
- Open the USB drive
- Select the
playlist.m3ufile - Your channels will start loading
Troubleshooting
- Portal not loading: Verify the URL is entered exactly as provided — no spaces
- "MAC not found" error: Contact us to register your MAC address
- Freezing/buffering: Connect your MAG box via Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi
- Remote not working: Some MAG remotes need IR line-of-sight to the box — remove any obstructions
