Introduction
LG Smart TVs run webOS, which has its own app store. You can install IPTV apps directly — no sideloading required on newer models. This guide covers the best methods for LG TVs.
What You Need
- LG Smart TV running webOS 3.0 or higher
- Your TV's MAC address (we will find this in the guide)
- Your StreamProTV credentials
Find Your LG TV MAC Address
You will need your TV's MAC address to activate the SIPTV app.
- Press Home on your remote
- Go to Settings (gear icon)
- Select All Settings → Network → Wi-Fi Connection (or Wired)
- Click Advanced Wi-Fi Settings
- Note the MAC Address shown — write it down
Method 1 – Smart IPTV (SIPTV)
Step 1: Install Smart IPTV
- Press Home on your LG remote
- Navigate to the LG Content Store (or just the Apps section)
- Search for Smart IPTV
- Click Install
Step 2: Activate and Load Channels
- Open Smart IPTV — it will show your TV's MAC address on screen
- On your computer/phone, go to
siptv.eu - Enter your TV's MAC address
- Paste your M3U URL from the welcome email
- Click Upload — channels will load on your TV
- Press the Reload button in the app or restart it
Note: The free version of Smart IPTV shows an ad every 3 hours. A one-time lifetime licence costs around £10 and removes all ads.
Method 2 – Smart STB
Smart STB is a free alternative that works well on LG TVs.
Step 1: Install Smart STB
- Search for Smart STB in the LG Content Store
- Install and open it
- Note your device's MAC address shown in the app
Step 2: Configure via Portal
- Visit
smartstb.net/appon any browser - Enter your device MAC address
- Add your M3U URL or Xtream Codes details
- Save the configuration
- On your TV, select your profile in Smart STB
Troubleshooting
- Channels not loading: Make sure the M3U URL is entered correctly without spaces
- App not in store: Older LG TVs may not have these apps. Use a Fire Stick or Android box instead
- Buffering: Check your internet speed — IPTV needs at least 10 Mbps for HD
