What is a MAC Address?
A MAC (Media Access Control) address is a unique identifier assigned to every network device. For IPTV, some apps and devices use the MAC address to tie your subscription to your specific device. This prevents account sharing and is used by portal-based IPTV systems.
Find MAC Address by Device
Fire TV Stick
- Go to Settings on the Fire TV home screen
- Select My Fire TV → About
- Scroll down to find the Wi-Fi MAC Address
Android TV Box / TV
- Go to Settings → About → Status
- Look for Wi-Fi MAC address or Ethernet MAC address
LG Smart TV
- Go to Settings → All Settings → Network
- Select Wi-Fi Connection → Advanced Settings
- The MAC address is listed there
Samsung Smart TV
- Go to Settings → General → Network → Network Status
- Click IP Settings
- The MAC address is displayed
MAG Box
On a MAG box, the MAC address is shown:
- On the sticker on the bottom of the device
- On the first screen when the box boots up
- In Settings → System Info
iPhone / iPad
- Go to Settings → General → About
- Scroll down to find Wi-Fi Address — this is the MAC address
Windows PC
- Press Win + R, type
cmd, press Enter - Type
ipconfig /alland press Enter - Look for Physical Address next to your Wi-Fi or Ethernet adapter
Mac
- Go to System Preferences → Network
- Select your network connection → Advanced
- Go to the Hardware tab to see the MAC address
Why You Need It
Note: Not all IPTV apps require your MAC address. Apps like TiviMate, IPTV Smarters, and GSE Smart IPTV use your username and password instead. MAC address registration is mainly used by Smart IPTV (SIPTV) and portal-based systems like MAG boxes.
